Thanks to Gopika’s awesome photography, here’s some photos from the Tough Mudder event Sarah and I just completed!! about 20km of muddy madness! Tested us to our limits. We had a team of 6 and it was definitely a team effort to get through.
I can tell you… I have one amazing tough wife! Sarah was awesome and did everything, even got electrocuted! Love her to bits!
Here’s some pics from a hike I did with Gavin and Si Sharp. We did 3x 2000m+ peaks in a few days and a few nights camping in an alpine tent by a tarn. I have to say this pushed me quite a bit. I now have a new appreciated of what ‘mountain fit’ means!!
Great company and a good time in perfect weather. We climbed Mt Cheeseman, Mt Olympus and Mt Cockayne. Nice meal at Arthurs Pass to finish it all off on a high note!

I took the family out for a cruisy day on the water. It was such a great day it was glassy conditions most of the time! We went around Waiheke, then ducked across the Happy Jack’s Island in the Coromandel. We saw workups, Dolphins, Penguins and got enough snapper for a good feed for dinner!
Jack can now bait his hooks himself and Livvy finally got her sealegs and now loves it!
Here’s a few sweet photos from our recent trip to the McKenzie Country. We stayed at the Lake Ruitaniwha holiday park for two nights. Absolutely awesome trip with my boy. Lots of fishing, great scenery, good company and late nights with Milo!

We took the family out today for a wee adventure. First stop was the Orton Bradley Park where we went for a nice tramp. The kids did well…
Then we went to Diamond Harbour Wharf for a spot of fishing and Jack had a swim, well actually a jump off the wharf from a swinging gantry rope. Great fun! See the vids below!
We took a drive over to Sumner Beach today to let the kids get some fresh air. Had a good time, here’s a few pics from the day. The kids loved it.

A mate, Chris asked me if I wanted to come fishing with him the next day, so I of course jumped at the chance! We went to a few rivers, but the Opihi Gorge was the star of the day! Check out these awesome photos of the gorge!
Getting a little stronger these days thanks to an awesome trainer in Rolleston, CHCH. I want to get comfortable at the 100kg mark, then start doing a little more cardio. Here’s my first crack at a 100kg (220lb) benchpress and a couple at 90kg. Technique is a little dodgy but I’ll sort that. Should be able to do a clean lift next week or two
