Jack and Dad’s Camping trip to Twizel
Here’s a few sweet photos from our recent trip to the McKenzie Country. We stayed at the Lake Ruitaniwha holiday park for two nights. Absolutely awesome trip with my boy. Lots of fishing, great scenery, good company and late nights with Milo!

There was a cool pontoon slide at the campground. Me and Jack just had to have a swim. Totally freezing water but really refreshing!

An Adventure Day!
We took the family out today for a wee adventure. First stop was the Orton Bradley Park where we went for a nice tramp. The kids did well…
Then we went to Diamond Harbour Wharf for a spot of fishing and Jack had a swim, well actually a jump off the wharf from a swinging gantry rope. Great fun! See the vids below!
Fun day on the water
Sarah took the kids to the Groynes for a play on the water. Check out Jack’s smile! He’s loving it! I reckon he’s going to get into kayaking – he’d be great!
A hike with the Nortons
Sarah and the kids took Karolyn and their two for a bush walk the other day up to Kowhai bush. Check out some of the cool photos. They’ve all become pretty good mates!
Swimming in Leslie’s Pool
Here’s a snippet from the Stonecrew mucking around up the road. Jack’s just learnt to snorkle and Livvy is slowly getting the hang of swimming… Note that Livvie jumps up and bites me at one point!
A day at the beach
We took a drive over to Sumner Beach today to let the kids get some fresh air. Had a good time, here’s a few pics from the day. The kids loved it.
Jack’s Auckland visit
Jack came to Auckland with me on the latest tri. We stayed with the AK Stones and made sure we got in a good fishing trip. No huge fish but got a keeper. The kids had fun and we made sure we let them get a swim in at Motuhi on the way back.
A day at the Hood!
We took a few families to Lake Hood today for a play on the boat and to let the little kids swim in the lake. Had a blast and we even had a 30 min thunder and lightening storm directly overhead! Sarah got up on the wakeboard and the kids all did the biscuit. Next trip we’ll head to McKenzie country!
