Jack and Dad’s Camping trip to Twizel
Here’s a few sweet photos from our recent trip to the McKenzie Country. We stayed at the Lake Ruitaniwha holiday park for two nights. Absolutely awesome trip with my boy. Lots of fishing, great scenery, good company and late nights with Milo!
Totally slack basic breakfast!
This is the Temple Stream feeding the top of Lake Ohau.
We hiked a wee way up the Temple Stream at the top of Lake Ohau.
Jack has finally master his casting rhythm! Check out the style! He’s in the groove!
Check out the brave lad! Taking a dip in a high country lake (Lake Ohau).
There was a cool pontoon slide at the campground. Me and Jack just had to have a swim. Totally freezing water but really refreshing!
Pretty basic food but after a long day it did the trick!
Late night milo’s in the kitchen (Watching a Will Smith movie)
Daddy’s awesome reliable donkey! This tub got us around in style!
Of course we had to get in the obligatory tourist shots in Tekapo!
That’s a good girl! Clean daddy’s dirty truck!
A Stoney Christmas!
Here’s a pile of photos from the Stone family Christmas 2013! It was an epic bash and total chaos for a week but in a good way! We had the best time – love them all!
Trip to Auckland
We took a wee holiday to Auckland to see the family and have a break. Here’s a few random photos…
Snow day in the hills!
I took the family up to the hills today to play in the snow. Was a great time, deep powder and an awesome slope for the toboggan. Check out Sarah’s crash in the vid below…
Julian’s Fishing Trip
Here’s a pile of pics from the recent fishing trip I did with the boys to Northland and the Bay of Islands. We took a whole week off and spent it with the lads just relaxing and fishing. We have the best wives!
On the trip were Gavin, Wess, Grant and Frank… Caught plenty of fish and heaps of sunshine!
Christmas at the Stones!
Jane, Simon, Zach and Jed came down for Christmas this year (and New Years). We loved hanging out with them and the kids had a blast (when not killing each other.
Here’s a few pics (and some of the new pony, Milo)…

The Stones take on Australia!
I’ve put some photos below from our recent trip to Australia (Brisbane/Gold Coast). We popped over for the week to see Sarah’s sister Jess, Lee and Mel, Leeanne and do the fun parks!
The kids were all great and a great time was had by all!
Here’s my man-wagon (shopping cart)…

At Seaworld with the kids. Didn’t get much photos there but we saw some shows and had a great time!
Saying goodbye…
Next trip – Fiji!!
Holiday in Hanmer!
Here’s some photos from our holiday in Hanmer Springs. We went up there for a few days to have a break from CHCH. Had a great time! We were with Rich, Aimee and Nim Poole. They’re pretty cruisy guys to hang with and we managed to do a few fun things. Played in the snow, café’s, bike riding, walks, Indian food and movies.
My personal hilight was convincing Sarah to take a dip (in the snow) at the Hanmer Springs hot pools one night. We just soaked in 37 degree awesomeness until we turned into prunes.
Here’s Jack thinking about throwing a snowball at Rich!
Livvy in her snow suit looking like a cute pink blob!
The family climbing a wee bank… Jack slipped down soon after the photo was taken. He loved it though.
I took my boy for an adventure on his bmx and my bike down to the local river. There was a track beside the creek which was pretty muddy so we had a blast of a time. Wore him out nicely!
This is the view from the bach.
We had a pretty hairy drive back from Hanmer. The roads were fairly treacherous but we all got back ok. When we got back though, we were greeted with a totally white Christchurch and even our place was covered!
That’s Sarah’s car below under the white stuff!
To end off a great weekend Jack and I made snowmen… Cool eh!
