What a great Christmas! Not only did we have Shirley (Sarah’s mum) down, but we also had our first Christmas with our new lad. The hairy thing in the photo is Daisy our dog. She’ll be a great playmate for Jack as he grows…
So the Stone family now consists of: Sarah (mum), Julian (dad), Jack (bubs), Daisy (dog), Splat (cat), 2 horses (Ellie & Chatty), 5 peacocks & 7 chickens.

A Stone Family Christmas!
The Mums have a photo op…
This is Sarah’s mum Shirley. And what a lovely child we have in regards to keeping up the family relations. If you look closely (and yes, we zoomed in) it’s his third finger Jacks holding up.
Yup it appears that Jack is giving Nana Shirley ‘the bird’. ha ha…
Either that or he’s doing his ‘Mini Me’ impersonation from Austin Powers. 😉
Jackson’s First day on the job – getting to grips with the workplace…
This is Jack getting the hang of touch typing. Once he’s got that sorted, we’ll get him onto the detachment of MS SQL databases. We’ll keep his chores light to begin with…
Now this is a face only a mother (and father) can love! What a squirmer!
What a little dude Jackson is!
Although you can’t tell it from this photo, he’s a great kid, hardly screams, growing nicely, feeds well etc… Fingers are crossed that he’ll continue this way 😉
This is his “Look at me girls, I’m soo cute” outfit… I’m sure he’ll have the girls at preschool lining up!
Time for a nap – This time it’s the both of them!
What a beautiful picture… Sarah and Jack taking it easy after a hard day of sleeping. These are the awesome moments to cherish – a little ‘cuddle time’ with bubs. What a well deserved rest…
What a week! another birth!
Well, after a week of getting to grips with parent hood, we had another surprise when Sarah’s sister Jess, pregnant and due on 15 Jan 2007, had her waters break, rushed to hospital andended up having an emergency C-Section! A girl appeared.. baby ‘Devoe’. 😉 Mother & baby & Chase are all doing very well. Here’s some photos of Devoe: http://babydevoe.blogspot.com – So it’ll be an interesting Christmas!
Julian – “The Proud Dad!”
The Grandparents get a cuddle of Jack…
^ Julian’s Grandmother (Nana Stone) having a cuddle. So far, Jacks been perfect. A bit sloppy in the rear end, but not too grizzly. We love him. Sarah’s happier having him out rather than in.. 😉
^ Julian’s Grandfather (Grandad Stone) having a cuddle too. Jack’s being born into a very loving family!
1st Day at home!
^ Taking a kip after all the stress of the move home….
^ 2 days old and I’ve already got him contributing to the ProActive Software team. Bit of a lazy employee, but we’ll get him into line. We may need to boost his titty rations.
Day 2 – Jackson meets our friends and family!
Well, it’s day 2 and Jacks having fun getting used to the big scary world. It’s a great introduction to the world, being thrust down a birth canal, slapped, soaked, blinded (by light), jabbed by a needle, thrown at a breast and told “suck this”, then thrown around like a rugby ball!
All things considered, he’s doing great!
^ How could ya not love this face! Gorgeous – he’ll turn the girls heads!
^ Mum (Sarah) and baby Jackson spending a quality moment together amidst the busyness of the day.
^Julian’s mum (Diane) cuddling the lad after flying down that morning from Auckland. I think my dad mentioned something about the ‘Stone Name’ being able to live on’ now he has a first Grandson.
^ Sarah and Jack just hanging out. The midwives at Lincoln are fantastic and our personal midwives Maxine and Rebecca from Darfield were exceptional – Legends! They were awesome on the day.
^ This is his ‘pushing out a poo’ or ‘letting rip a fart’ face – ha ha. Kinda a bit like dads face when he’s served up vegetables… 😉
^ This is Timothy (Tim). He’s our friends’ Jess and Peter Dobb’s little boy. Tim’s hopefully going to be a great playmate for Jack – they’re 100 days apart!
Tim’s very cool, and incredibly active – keeping Jess and Pete busy!
^ You can just tell that Jack and Tim and going to be great mates, as well as a couple of troublemakers! Don’t they look like a good team! I love the matching hats!
^ Some friends, Darren and Kate Chettle having a cuddle. They have a wee baby growing away. Still in the oven but due out early next year. If it’s a boy, we’ll officially have a ‘gang of three’. If it’s a girl, Jack and Tim will be after her! Either way it’ll be heaps of fun!
Sarah and Jack come home tomorrow! Awesome! As for now, it’s time for bed. zzzzzzz
